Today I made it to rite aid for just a few things.
1 package of huggies wipes $2.99 on sale for $1.49 with a $1 SCR(single check rebate)
Maybelline products were buy one get one half off.
Bought one lip gloss at $5.69 and one eye shadow half off at $1.79. There is a $3 SCR for purchasing two maybelline products.
Out of pocket = $9.42
SCR earned =$4
So total price after rebate = $5.42
I read your earlier post about BOA's rate increase on your credit card. I wish you the best in getting it paid off ASAP.
ReplyDeleteMy grandfather never bought anything except his farm that he did not pay for in cash. My mother bought everything on the "dollar down and dollar a week plan" and I hated it.
I grew up with very little $ and it was easier for me to live below my means when I started working full time after college.
Just a suggestion...before buying an item ask yourself if you will use it and do you really need it. It is amazing what we want but don't really need.
I had to retire early (53) due to health problems. I am so lucky to have saved and invested as much as I did or I'd be in a world of hurt right now.
